John
is an established and versatile musician. Since the
age of 5, he received a thorough traditional musical
training culminating in studies at the Royal Academy
of Music in 1983 where he later received a L.R.A.M.
teaching diploma and Bachelor of Music degree. Whilst
piano has been his main instrument, composition and
arranging have also played an important part in his
musical creativity. In 1987 John was awarded the prestigious
'College Student - All Musician of the Year' at the
Wavendon All Music Awards - the brainchild of the
jazz duo husband-and-wife team - John Dankworth and
Cleo Laine.
His interests span many aspects of the music profession
including performance, recording and programming.
Now 42, he lives just outside of London (UK) and travels
a great deal abroad both as a freelance musician and
a clinician/demonstrator for Roland, the electronic
musical instrument manufacturer.
